Chris Kaempffer | Partner
Christopher Kaempffer has been in the real estate business since 1993. He started his career managing a portfolio of office, medical and retail properties along with 300 apartment units in New Jersey. He then moved on to an Investment Brokerage and a leasing position with a leading international firm Grubb & Ellis. While there he assisted in leasing office space, researching markets, sales presentations, investment underwriting, marketing campaigns and bank dispositions of all property types.
Following Grubb & Ellis Chris worked for W & M Properties where he was an associate responsible for leasing over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of office and retail space in Midtown Manhattan. He also performed underwriting and analyses for new acquisitions of office, retail and residential properties.
After completing his W&M projects Chris worked at Standard & Poor’s as a Financial Analyst. His responsibilities included structuring and rating commercial mortgage backed security pools. Each pool was in excess of a billion dollars and included underwriting of all property types but primarily multi-family properties throughout the United States.
His final position in New York City was with the Greenwich Group International, a boutique investment bank, specializing in placing debt and equity in development projects, investment sales and opportunity funds. While there he provided analyses of all property types internationally, created marketing campaigns, structured sales, placed debt and equity with real estate developers for various projects including multi-family.
Chris returned home to work with his family’s real estate investment and development company along with his Brother in Law Michael McCloskey. Founded by Chris’s Father Charles Kaempffer in the early 1970’s. He acquired nearly 800,000 sq. ft. of developed industrial and office space as well as over 200 acres of undeveloped land. Chris works to manage, lease, develop and obtain all entitlements on raw land. Particularly, Riverside Center, a 175-acre land development into a multi-use business park. When complete the project’s cost will exceed $80,000,000. He works to acquire new properties, analyze and structure partnerships, obtain entitlements, sell properties and structure both permanent and construction financing.
He is a New Jersey licensed real estate broker and 50% owner and Broker of Record of Everest Realty Group LLC., a full service brokerage firm, a 50% owner of KMK Realty Associates LLC., a commercial real estate management company and a 50% owner of K & M Development LLC., a construction management company.
Chris holds a B.A. from Arizona State University in Political Science, has taken continuing education courses in real estate finance at NYU and has completed a real estate development and finance curriculum at M.I.T.
Michael McCloskey | Partner
Mr. McCloskey has enjoyed the challenges of working in real estate ever since buying his first rental property in New Brunswick, NJ back in 1987. After flirting briefly with multi family residential investments Mr. McCloskey now works exclusively with office, warehouse and retail properties. With extensive experience in project development, design and construction he has helped to expand Everest’s interests throughout Central New Jersey. Mr. McCloskey manages and constructs all the holdings of Everest Realty Group.
Mr. McCloskey is married to Karen Kaempffer and has twins Camryn and Jack. Mr. McCloskey presently lives in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
He holds a BA from Rutgers University, 1987.
Barbara DeMango | Financial Officer
Barbara began her career working at the NYC corporate personnel offices of Kinney Shoe Corporation as a Department Manager in Sales Administration. She moved on to work as a Systems Analyst in corporate personnel at American Express Company and as the Manager of Corporate Systems for Revlon, Inc. In 1992, she left the corporate world to be a full-time mom to her daughter, Emma.
From 1992 to 2002, Barbara worked part-time as a YMCA swim instructor, Creative Memories Consultant and Treasurer for Old Tennent Church. She began working for Everest Realty Group and associated companies in 2003 and currently handles all of the financial functions.
Barbara holds a BS in Business Management from Penn State University, 1980.
